Maria Teresa Rivera received her PhD in Neuropharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics from the Centre for Research and Advanced Studies (Cinvestav, Mexico) in 2015, where she studied the mechanisms underlying hallucinatory effects and psychotic-like states induced by inhalants. In the Moghaddam Lab she is currently studying the function of neuronal circuits during adolescence and its relation to psychiatric illnesses.
