Biography
Karen Smithmyer graduated in 2007 from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown with a Bachelors degree in Journalism and a minor in English Literature. After working for a short time as a reporter for a small newspaper, she joined the Moghaddam Lab in 2010 as a Laboratory Assistant in Bita’s office. Along with working on grant applications and placing orders, Karen also is responsible for maintaining the website.
